From 2005 to 2007 Piruza Khalapyan studied photography at the Caucasus Media Institute (Armenia) photojournalism course, developed by the World Press Photo (the Netherlands). In 2008 she participated in a workshop on Creative Documentary Project Development in the South Caucasus, conducted by IFA-SC. From 2007 to 2012 Piruza studied at “Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinematography,” studying the specialization of documentary film director. She has worked as photo editor in “Patker” Photo Agency and “National Geographic Traveler Armenia” magazines, also worked photographer in “Medialab.am” and in other Armenian magazines. Khalapyan participated in 2011 - Documentary Photography master class with Patrick Sutherland, University of the Arts, London.
