For centuries, the role of women in Armenian society was limited to raising children and dealing with everyday problems. Now much has changed, and women have become more independent

Sona Hovhannisyan - Hover Chamber Choir, conductor. Тhe choir has participated in international competitions and festivals and gained international recognition.
Nazik Avdalyan-World weightlifting champion (2009), was awarded the "Service to the Motherland" 2nd degree medal.
Lilit Asatryan-The founder and president of Young Women's Association of Armenia NGO. In 2003-2005 she was the vice minister of Culture and Youth Affairs, and since 2004 she is the representative in the European Steering Committee for Youth (CDEJ). She received numerous awards throughout her career.
Anahit Bakhshyan-MP of the National Assembly of Armenia in 2007- 2013. She is constantly engaged in social activities and supports Armenia citizens in different issues.
Mariam Yesayan - The CEO of ‘Aregak’ UCO. ‘Aregak’ is considered to be one of the largest companies in the credit sector. Yesayan is also a member in the Board of Directors of Eastern Europe and CIS countries Microcredit center (Warsaw, Poland).

For centuries, the role of women in Armenian society was limited to raising children and dealing with everyday problems. Other important duties and rights of this family belonged exclusively to the supreme body of the family-her husband. Now much has changed, and women have become more independent. Apart from domestic problems, they can also make money on their own, solve various issues and have equal voting rights as men. They can achieve success on their own and occupy leading positions in various fields.
